Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound
Diagnostic solutions for musculoskeletal complaints
by Dr. Keith Hansen

What is Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound (MSKDU)?

MSKDU is a high-resolution ultrasound scan using advanced software transducers to view the muscles and skeletal structure of the human body in detail.

Ultrasound is a safe and effective way to view the interior of the human body without pain or evasive procedures. This is why it is used on unborn infants.

We use this same technology to examine your muscles, ligaments, and other tissues. X-rays can only see your bones but are unable to diagnose problems in the soft tissues. Diagnostic ultrasound easily and effectively finds these problems.

Diagnostic ultrasound can also examine muscles and tissues while they are in motion, making it perfect for athletic injuries as well as injuries resulting from accidents.
